Legal Resources, based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, has been a State Corporation Commission licensed legal services insurance administrator and provider in the legal benefits industry for 30 years. We provide legal plan benefits to government municipalities, educational institutions, medical institutions, IT companies, and associations throughout the country. Today, we serve over 900 organizations and provide our coverage nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support existing systems, ensuring high availability and stability
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues and operational tickets impacting users and clients
• Implement bug fixes and deliver small to medium enhancements to improve system functionality and user experience
• Participate in the development of new features and systems using .NET (C#) and SQL
• Write clean, maintainable, and performant code following best practices, including security and performance considerations
• Apply software design principles such as SOLID; follow domain-driven design concepts where applicable
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
• Be open to learning and working with additional technologies used in the ecosystem (e.g. Angular)
• Support continuous improvement of development practices, code quality, and system reliability

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of .NET / C#
• Familiarity with SQL (queries, joins, basic performance concepts)
• Understanding of REST APIs and client-server architecture
• Familiarity using Git / GitHub (commits, branches, pull requests)
• Problem-solving and debugging skills
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn
  

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Familiarity with Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Exposure to Azure or cloud-based applications
• Familiarity with Entity Framework
• Basic understanding of authentication / authorization
• Experience with Agile / Scrum environments
• Knowledge of Angular Material or similar UI libraries
