About The Role:

YipitData is looking for a highly-motivated

Strategic Procurement Associate to establish and grow our Procurement function, reporting up through the Finance team. This role will be responsible for owning all of YipitData’s vendor management, including sourcing and negotiating with new and existing vendors, to produce cost savings and efficiency gains for the company. You will also develop and implement procurement processes, manage the centralized vendor sourcing needs of the company, partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate vendors and negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and report on cost and quality metrics to leadership.

In this role, you will gain exposure to all areas of a growing company including sales & marketing, product, engineering and operations, and will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with the most senior management in the company including the CFO and other executives.

 We expect US Eastern Time (ET) work hours.

As Our Procurement Associate You Will:

• Build and oversee end-to-end procurement management for the entire organization, including:
  • Establishing and continuously improving procurement processes and workflows, in line with the company’s procurement needs and business objectives
  • Proactively managing renewals and reaching favorable renewal outcomes including pricing, quality, delivery, and payment terms 
  • Submitting purchase orders and contracts through our internal approval systems (currently Precoro and Ironclad) 
  • Working cross functionally with teams across finance, legal, infosec, product, sales, engineering, and other operations teams to align procurement activities with key stakeholder requirements
  • Partnering with budget owners and business leaders to understand and fulfill their requirements with a focus on cost and operational efficiency 

You Are Likely To Succeed If:

• You have 3-5 years of prior procurement experience with SaaS vendors
• You have strong knowledge of procurement principles, best practices, negotiation strategies, and industry trends
• You have experience negotiating software contracts for a high growth tech startup
• You have experience with procurement software and tools including ERP systems, procurement systems, etc.
• You have strong interpersonal skills to work across diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• You have exceptional attention to detail
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills
• You are committed to learn and continuously improve and have a passion for fast-growing, entrepreneurial organizations
