The Role
We’re building our mobile app from scratch and are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead this effort. This is a greenfield opportunity where you will define the foundational architecture, navigation, state management, and release strategy for the mobile application.
You will own the full mobile lifecycle — from initial architecture to App Store and Google Play delivery. We’re looking for someone with strong React Native experience who understands mobile-specific challenges and can balance speed with long-term scalability.
What You’ll Do
Define and implement mobile architecture from the ground up (project structure, navigation, state management, API layer, error handling)
Build core features in React Native with clean, scalable, and performant code
Own CI/CD for mobile (automated builds, testing, code signing, and app store submissions)
Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to shape the mobile experience
Optimize performance (startup time, frame rates, memory usage, bundle size)
Handle mobile-specific features (push notifications, deep linking, offline mode, permissions, native modules)
Evaluate and select third-party libraries based on scalability and maintainability
Required Qualifications
5+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in mobile development
Strong production experience with React Native (apps used by real users)
Deep understanding of mobile concepts (app lifecycle, navigation, gestures, iOS vs Android differences)
Experience building mobile apps from scratch, including CI/CD and release processes
Strong knowledge of TypeScript, React patterns, and state management
Experience with mobile performance optimization
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Nice to Have / Valuable Experience
Experience building and launching mobile apps from greenfield to production
Familiarity with native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin)
Experience with app store processes, release strategies (phased rollout, feature flags), and OTA updates (e.g., CodePush)
Experience with analytics and monitoring tools (e.g., Sentry, Crashlytics)
Knowledge of mobile accessibility standards (VoiceOver, TalkBack)
Experience in fintech or regulated industries
Bonus Skills
Experience with Expo or EAS Build
Experience with mobile testing frameworks (Detox, Maestro, Appium)
Background in design systems or mobile component libraries
