About Signals:
- Signals is YipitData’s Company Intelligence platform designed to help private equity firms, venture capital investors, finance, and corporate teams identify, diligence, and monitor software and technology companies using alternative data. Signals provides proprietary spend insights on 250K+ companies into a unified web platform, Chrome extension, and data feeds.
- Customers use Signals to discover emerging companies, validate market trends, conduct diligence with deeper data (including invoice and product-level detail), and monitor portfolio performance using continuously refreshed alternative data
About The Role:
Our Signals product is quickly growing, and we are scaling our Data Product team to support new customer growth and product coverage expansion through our application, data feeds and AI agent experiences. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Product Analyst to join our Data Product team. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of Data Product Analysts and will own end-to-end delivery for product initiatives, translating product goals into clear plans, leading execution, and ensuring impact across analysis, data operations, and QA workflows.
As a Senior Data Product Analyst, Team Lead you will:
- Own strategy and end-to-end execution for a portfolio of high-impact data product initiatives, driving measurable product value through strong product and data judgment
- Lead a team of 2+ Data Analysts who:
- Deliver product-facing analyses and datasets, turning messy inputs (ERP financial data, web scraped data, invoices) into clean data insights
- Build and maintain evaluation datasets and QA guidelines to measure and improve our AI and LLM powered workflows including defining quality targets, running experiments, and iterating based on results
- Partner with Engineering to translate product needs into scalable workflows for our data products including defining business rules /requirements and improving QA / validation logic
- Work primarily in Databricks, Google Sheets and with our proprietary AI agent tools, leveraging SQL, PySpark, and Python
- Operate as a player-coach, setting a high bar for speed, rigor, and innovation, balancing hands-on efforts yourself for the highest-impact work (complex analyses, ambiguous edge cases, AI evaluation design, and deep dive investigations) with coaching the team so execution scales beyond you
- Own delivery planning and alignment, translate product goals into clear requirements and execution plans (scope, milestones, risks), apply strong product and data judgment to define what matters, and keep stakeholders aligned through consistent updates
- Run delivery day to day, drive prioritization and tradeoffs across competing requests, ensure timelines are met, and track/report progress, blockers, and next steps against your plan
- Partner cross-functionally with Data Science,Engineering, and other key teams to identify leverage points, shape solutions, and drive adoption of improvements that increase product value and operational scalability

You Are Likely To Succeed If:
- You have 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineer or other technical function, including working with large datasets
- You have 1+ years of experience leading others to deliver strong outcomes, through direct people management and/or team leadership (mentoring, coaching, setting direction, reviewing work, and driving accountability).
- Nice to have: 1+ year of direct people management experience (including performance management)
- You have experience working in a high growth environment and managing many processes in parallel
- You have experience owning end-to-end delivery for complex initiatives, applying strong product and data judgment to define success metrics, make pragmatic scope tradeoffs, and drive outcomes, including:
- Scoping ambiguous problems
- Building execution plans
- Managing tradeoffs
- Keeping stakeholders aligned through clear written and verbal updates
- You are familiar working with large-scale datasets using Python and SQL (nice to have: PySpark, Databricks, and modern AI assisted tools)
- You have experience using AI and LLM tools to accelerate data work including generating/refactoring SQL and Python, exploring datasets, drafting labeling guidelines, and validating outputs before applying them to real workflows
- You are excited to identify and pilot AI driven initiatives, turning repetitive manual work into scalable processes through automation and better tooling while balancing risks and accuracy considerations of new AI systems
- You have experience with data transformation techniques, maintenance of data pipelines, and quality assurance techniques
- You are excited about the potential to train and raise the team’s ability to own projects, execute independently, and deliver consistently
- You are available to work US Eastern time zone hours
