We are looking for a highly experienced and proficient Project Manager to be part of our Aeris PMO Group to manage, drive and deliver IoT services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
    • Drive project execution, ensuring adherence to the defined plan, and tracking progress against milestones.
    • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing effective mitigation strategies and solutions.
    • Develop and maintain project budgets, estimation of project costs, tracking project expenditures and managing activities within the allocated budget.
    • Monitor project financials, including revenue recognition, cost management and profitability analysis, and provide regular financial status updates to stakeholders.
  2. Stakeholder Management:
    • Engage and collaborate with Channel Partners of Aeris, including stakeholders, internal teams, and third-party vendors, to establish project requirements and expectations.
    • Communicate project updates, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  3. Technical Expertise:
  • Apply knowledge of telecom networks, connectivity technologies and capabilities to effectively oversee IoT projects.
  • Leverage telecommunications knowledge to define project plans, manage the implementation timelines, risk management including solution deviations.
  • Understand and navigate telecommunication standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements specific to IoT deployments.
  1. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Lead cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting effective communication among team members.
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, promoting professional growth and ensuring project success.
    • Coordinate efforts with external vendors and partners, managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely delivery of telecom services.
  2. Project Quality and Delivery:
    • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with client requirements and industry best practices.
    • Implement robust project management methodologies, tools, and processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Conduct thorough project reviews, post-mortems, and lessons learned sessions to continuously improve project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications). Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, delivering complex technology and/or software projects within the telecommunications domain.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on telecommunications software field.
  • Experience managing communication service providers as customers, understanding their specific needs, and managing their expectations effectively.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements relevant to IoT projects such as VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6).
    • Network Integration: Knowledge of integrating IoT systems with existing telecom infrastructure, such as incorporating IoT devices into cellular networks, leveraging APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) provided by telecom providers, and ensuring seamless connectivity between IoT devices and telecom networks.
    • Knowledge of VoLTE architecture and protocols, such as SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) and IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem).
    • Understanding of VoLTE deployment considerations, including interoperability with legacy networks and devices.
    • Knowledge of IPv6 deployment strategies, coexistence with IPv4, and transition mechanisms.
    • Understanding of IPv6 security considerations, including vulnerabilities and secure communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of IoT architecture, connectivity solutions, and telecommunication standards (e.g., 3GPP, LoRaWAN, Sigfox) is a plus.
  • Understanding of cellular networks, such as 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G, and their suitability for different IoT use cases. This includes knowledge of SIM cards, data plans, and the ability to work with telecom providers to select appropriate cellular connectivity options based on coverage, data requirements, and cost considerations.
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen and business understanding to make informed decisions and manage project financial risks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
  • Experience with Atlassian Confluence and Jira applications is a plus.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver projects within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Working in the Aeris office at least 3 days each week is a requirement.
