About The Role:
We’re looking for an IT Security Engineer to join our growing IT team. As our company scales beyond 500+ employees globally, we’re strengthening the integration between IT, Security, and Cloud Infrastructure to ensure our systems remain secure, compliant, and efficient at scale.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of IT security controls and compliance across our environment — helping to manage endpoint protection, data loss prevention (DLP), and device management tools like Kandji. You’ll work closely with the Security team to design, implement, and enforce policies that keep our data and systems safe while enabling a seamless user experience.
The role blends hands-on IT operations with proactive security engineering. You’ll provide support when needed, lead or contribute to IT and security improvement projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and close gaps in compliance or system hardening.
You must be available during business hours to provide IT support. We expect US East Coast work hours. Occasional work outside of business hours may be necessary (such as during an upgrade or outage).
As Our IT Security Engineer, You Will:
- Administer and troubleshoot systems remotely, including macOS laptops, MDM platforms, SaaS applications, and cloud-based tools
- Manage and secure systems such as Kandji, Google Workspace, CrowdStrike, Slack, Zoom, Okta, and other core business platforms
Partner closely with the Security and Infrastructure teams to implement, monitor, and maintain compliance with security policies and technical controls
- Support and maintain endpoint compliance, DLP, and device security configurations across the global fleet
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and processes to strengthen system security, access management, and overall IT efficiency
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date IT asset inventory and assist with audits as needed
- Create and update documentation and training related to IT security, compliance, and user support workflows
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal IT and security policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements
You Are Likely To Succeed If:
- You have 3/4+ years of experience working in a modern IT or IT security environment and are comfortable managing SaaS platforms, MDM tools, and remote workforce support
- You have experience with device management and compliance, including tools such as Kandji, Jamf, or Intune
- You’re familiar with security standards and frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) and understand how they translate to technical controls
- You thrive in a fast-paced, global environment with users of varying technical skill levels
- You have hands-on experience leading or contributing to IT and security improvement projects that make systems more secure and efficient
- You learn quickly, communicate clearly, and enjoy solving complex technical and security challenges
- You value collaboration and enjoy working in a small, tight-knit team that bridges IT and Security
- You’re passionate about technology, automation, and building a secure, scalable infrastructure for the future
- Nice to have: scripting or automation experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
What We Offer:
- Flexible PTO for any reason, including sick days (no specified limits)
- Flexible work schedule
- Personal laptop
- Health and wellness package
- Remote work
