About the Role:

We’re seeking an exceptional Full Stack Software Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with mastery of modern AI development tools. You’ll join our team building a cutting-edge SaaS platform for insurance brokers, leveraging AI assistants to accelerate development while maintaining high code quality and architectural standards.

Key Responsibilities:

AI-Augmented Development

Leverage AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate feature development and code generation
Write effective prompts and context documentation (CLAUDE.md style) to guide AI assistants in maintaining codebase consistency
Review and refine AI-generated code to ensure it meets production standards and follows established patterns
Implement AI-friendly code structures and documentation that enhance future AI-assisted development

Full Stack Development

Build and maintain features across our Next.js/React frontend and Supabase backend
Implement complex business logic for insurance quoting, RFP management, and carrier integrations
Design and optimize database schemas with proper indexing and relationships
Create responsive, accessible UI components using modern React patterns and Tailwind CSS
Develop RESTful APIs with proper authentication, authorization, and error handling

Database Architecture & Security

Design and implement PostgreSQL database schemas with normalized structures
Write and maintain Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring proper data isolation between organizations
Create efficient database migrations using Supabase CLI
Optimize query performance and implement proper caching strategies
Debug complex RLS policy interactions and prevent infinite recursion issues

Authentication & User Management

Implement secure authentication flows using Supabase Auth or similar systems
Design role-based access control (RBAC) for multi-tenant SaaS architecture
Build magic link authentication systems for external users
Manage user sessions, JWT tokens, and refresh mechanisms

Email & Communication Systems

Craft React-based email templates using React Email components
Implement transactional email flows with Resend or similar services
Design responsive HTML email templates that work across clients
Build notification systems with proper queuing and retry logic

Required Qualifications:

Technical Expertise

5+ years of full stack development experience
Expert proficiency with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
Strong experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design
Proven track record using AI coding assistants in production development
Deep understanding of database security, particularly Row Level Security patterns
Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and React Server Components

AI Development Tools

Advanced proficiency with at least two of: Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI assistants
Demonstrated ability to write effective prompts and context documentation for AI tools
Experience creating and maintaining AI-friendly codebases with clear patterns and documentation
Understanding of AI tool limitations and when to apply manual expertise

Database & Backend

Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL including:
- Complex query optimization
- Index design and performance tuning
- Transaction management and ACID compliance
- JSON/JSONB operations
Strong experience with Row Level Security (RLS):
- Writing complex RLS policies
- Debugging policy conflicts and recursion
- Implementing multi-tenant data isolation
Proficiency in database migration strategies and schema evolution
