Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS and Azure platforms. You will collaborate closely with technology counterparts, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment, management, and governance of cloud-based services.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps practices, cloud automation, governance frameworks, and cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure platforms
• Develop and implement cloud automation strategies to streamline operations and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and reliable cloud solutions
• Align cloud initiatives with overall IT strategy and architecture in collaboration with technology counterparts
• Implement and enforce cloud governance policies, ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices
• Evaluate, select, and adopt new cloud technologies, services, and tools to improve performance and cost efficiency
• Ensure cloud security by implementing robust controls and best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity, identifying areas for optimization
• Mentor and support other engineering team members
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging cloud technologies, sharing knowledge and best practices

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, preferably in a senior or lead role
• Strong expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and experience with cloud automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, including:
  • Deploying, managing, securing, and operating production clusters
  • Supporting application deployments on Kubernetes
• Proven experience implementing cloud governance frameworks and best practices
• Strong understanding of cloud security concepts and hands-on experience with security controls
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPN, DNS, load balancing, routing in cloud environments)
• Preferred experience with Azure services such as Key Vault, PostgreSQL, Application Gateway, and Hub/Spoke VNet architecture
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure certifications) are highly desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment
