Technical Project Management Leader

About the Company

This position will play an important role in our IoT Connectivity team and will be responsible for project activities across the whole product life cycle, from the development of SW products, to critical customer deployments as well as transformation projects. Additional to the project responsibilities, you will also be responsible for a team of local project managers, and their development and growth. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge in the IOT SaaS and core network areas and excellent project management track record engaging and dealing with telecom service partners.

Reporting to the VP, Project Mgmt Office, you will collaborate across many different teams as well as our customers and technology partners.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership:

• Lead and manage large-scale projects involving cross-functional teams, spanning R&D, customer deployments, and business transformations.
• Effectively manage multiple competing activities in parallel, demonstrating a keen ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently.
• Create and implement effective project structures when needed, ensuring a clear and organized approach to project execution.

People leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers and coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Set clear goals and expectations for team members, aligning their efforts with organizational objectives.

Communication Skills:

• Possess excellent communication skills, both internally within the organization and externally with customers.
• Facilitate effective communication channels to ensure all stakeholders are well-informed about project status, milestones, and potential risks.

Initiative and Proactiveness:

Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, taking initiative not only at the project level but also contributing to the overall success of the Project Management Office (PMO).

Business Acumen:

• Exhibit strong business acumen, balancing customer requirements with company revenue objectives.
• Evaluate projects through a “good business case” lens, ensuring that initiatives align with strategic objectives and financial goals.

Technical Understanding:

• Drive and support the design and deployment of 4G/5G Core networks & IoT SaaS based solutions for our existing customers and partners
• Be able to engage in technical project discussion with customers, partners as well as with internal engineering teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of project management experience, ideally possessing a PMP certification.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience in a technical project environment.
• Possess extensive experience in the telecom industry, particularly in 4G and 5G standards, as well as IoT and IP networks.
• Knowledge of cloud services, such as serverless computing, containerization, and microservices.
• Demonstrate expertise in successfully managing complex projects with durations of 6+ months, involving 30 or more team members.
• Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural and multinational environment.
• Bring experience in working globally and across different time zones, understanding the nuances of managing diverse and dispersed teams.
• Can do/get done attitude.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Excellent communicator
