About The Role:
YipitData is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to lead our secure access systems’ implementation, maintenance, and optimization. This is a pivotal role where you will design and oversee scalable authentication and authorization processes, ensuring compliance, security, and an exceptional user experience. You will also manage internal workflows to maintain and evolve these systems.
What You’ll Do:
Build & Implement:
Architect and deploy scalable authentication and authorization solutions using Auth0 and Okta FGA.
Develop robust user login, session management, and permissioning workflows.
Drive integration with third-party Identity Providers (IdPs) such as Okta and other tools.
Maintain & Optimize:
Manage and enhance internal processes for maintaining authentication and authorization systems.
Monitor system health and address issues.
Proactively identify and implement system improvements to enhance scalability and performance.
Collaborate & Innovate:
Partner with engineering, product, and security team members to define requirements and deliver secure, user-friendly solutions.
Work with cross-functional teams to manage system integrations with Corporate and Investor-facing platforms.
Drive the adoption of new technologies and best practices
Contribute to the vision and strategy for secure access systems in alignment with business objectives.
We expect NYC / East Coast work hours.
You Are Likely To Succeed If:
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Have 6-8 years of experience working with Django and Python, particularly in building and maintaining secure, scalable backend systems.
Thrive in designing and maintaining secure, scalable systems and have a proven ability to manage backend workflows related to authentication and authorization. Experience with Auth0 and FGA is a plus.
Excel in collaboration and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and security, to deliver seamless, user-friendly systems.
Are detail-oriented and passionate about creating efficient processes to maintain and improve critical infrastructure.
Possess a growth mindset and are excited to take on high-impact challenges in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Candidates must have primary residency (and be physically located) in the country of hire (Colombia) in order to be considered for the position. If hired, the worker must maintain primary residency in the country of hire in order to be eligible for employment.
