Automation QA Lead

As a QualDev Lead at Aeris, you will assume a leadership role in ensuring the quality and performance of our automotive cloud connectivity systems. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of talented QA Engineers. In this role, you will leverage your automation skills and development background to drive the enhancement of the overall testing framework.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of QualDev Engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automotive systems with the cloud.
• Drive the enhancement of the testing framework by leveraging automation and integrating it with the existing CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify bottlenecks and performance issues through in-depth analysis of test results.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues with scripts, applications, and infrastructure components.
• Deliver accurate and meaningful reports on test results, highlighting potential areas of improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques related to API testing and performance testing.
• Lead the adoption of best practices and methodologies to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Automation Tester.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably as a Team Lead or Engineering Manager.
• Strong development skills, including expertise in Java for backend services.
• In-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs and messaging protocols such as MQTT and AMQP/Kafka/Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, fostering effective teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive industry or with IoT projects involving vehicle connectivity.
• Proven knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques: JMeter, Gatling or Apache Bench.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform or similar platforms.
• Understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
