We are now looking for a Tech Lead to drive the evolution of our cutting-edge real-time data ingestion platform. This is a key role for someone with expertise in Python, and AI technologies. You will lead a talented team of developers to elevate our platform to the next level, enabling seamless integration of AI-driven insights into our data pipelines.
The role will focus on advancing our real-time document and data ingestion platform, leveraging GCP services, AI models, and modern cloud-native technologies.
Responsibilities
Lead Development: Drive the architectural design, development, and deployment of our real-time data ingestion platform using GCP services like PubSub, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, and Vertex AI.
AI Integration: Implement and optimize AI/ML models, including LLMs and Embeddings, to enhance data processing, retrieval, and insight generation capabilities within the platform.
Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of developers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
End-to-End Ownership: Oversee the full development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Cloud Optimization: Utilize GCP services to optimize platform efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Automation: Develop automated processes for data ingestion, transformation, and storage, ensuring real-time processing and analytics.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and DevOps to align platform capabilities with business needs.
Innovation: Stay updated with the latest in AI, GCP, and cloud technologies, advocating for the adoption of tools and techniques that drive innovation and improve platform capabilities.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest level of quality in code, including unit testing, integration testing, and peer code reviews.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in Python or Java. Willingness to work with Python.
Extensive experience with GCP services (PubSub, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run) or other public clouds.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
Experience with real-time data processing and analytics.
Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, preferably SAFe.
Preferred Skills
AI Expertise: Deep understanding of AI model deployment and optimization in cloud environments.
Experience in AI/ML technologies, particularly in Embeddings, LLMs, and RAG.
Cloud Build & CI/CD: Experience with Cloud Build, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
Data Engineering: Knowledge of data engineering best practices, including ETL processes and data warehousing.
Cross-Platform Skills: Familiarity with additional cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and multi-cloud strategies.
