About the role:
We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Software Development Manager to lead our talented team, with a major focus on the delivery and ownership of REACT/Web applications.
Responsibilities:
- Frontend Leadership: Own, deliver, and continuously improve cloud based REACT/Web applications on a SaaS model, ensuring exceptional user experience and high-quality performance.
- Team Development: Hire, lead, and mentor a team of frontend and backend developers, with a focus on growing expertise in web technologies and ensuring delivery excellence.
- Talent Management: Attract, recruit, and retain top-tier talent to build a high-performing team, emphasizing front-end development skills.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and professional growth, particularly in modern front-end technologies.
- Mission Alignment: Set a clear vision and purpose for the team, aligning objectives with company goals and inspiring high performance.
- Strategic Collaboration: Serve as a senior engineering leader, collaborating with global peers in a matrix organization to align on frontend and backend strategies.
- Cloud Service Management: Oversee the integration of frontend solutions with backend cloud services, managing deployment and operations on platforms like Kubernetes.
- Customer Focus: Maintain an unwavering commitment to delivering an exceptional user experience.
- Engineering Excellence: Promote best practices in frontend and backend engineering, ensuring modern, scalable, and maintainable codebases.
- AI Integration: Explore and utilize Generative AI tools to boost productivity in frontend development.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 10+ years in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on frontend technologies.
- SaaS product building experience, cloud-based.
- Proven success in delivering high-quality REACT/Web applications at scale.
- Strong ability to hire and develop a team of skilled frontend developers.
- Frontend Proficiency: Expert knowledge of modern web frameworks, especially REACT, and a deep understanding of frontend architecture and best practices.
- Technical Breadth: Familiarity with backend technologies (Java, cloud platforms, Kubernetes) to support seamless frontend-backend integration.
- IoT/Telco Expertise: Experience in the IoT or telecom industry is a strong advantage.
- Organizational Agility: Skilled at working in a matrix organization, managing both direct and indirect reports effectively.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring, team development, and a passion for front-end innovation.
- Customer-Centric: Dedicated to improving user experience and ensuring software quality.
- SAFe Framework: Experience with SAFe is a strong plus.
